Natural fibers have recently attracted the attention of scientists and technologists because of the advantages that these fibers provide over conventional reinforcement materials, and the development of bio fiber composites has been a subject of interest for the past few years. The present work focuses on investigation of mechanical properties of banana fiber/epoxy resin composite at 30%, 40% and 50% volume fractions of banana fiber and different fiber orientation 00, 450 & 900. The mechanical properties like tensile strength, flexural strength, are experimentally evaluated. The experimental results of tensile testing are validated using software package ANSYS.12.0 the obtained results are very much closer to the experimental results. To probe the bonding between the reinforcement and matrix, the scanning Electron microgram of fractured surface of banana epoxy composite were recorded. So it is better to use banana/epoxy composite with 40% volume fraction and 0 degree fiber orientation for various applications.…

Las propiedades mecánicas como la resistencia a la tracción, resistencia a la flexión, se evalúan experimentalmente. Los resultados experimentales de las pruebas de tracción se validan utilizando el paquete de software ANSYS.12.0 los resultados obtenidos son mucho más cercanos a los resultados experimentales. Para sondear la unión entre el refuerzo y la matriz, se registró el micrograma electrónico de barrido de la superficie fracturada del composite epoxi de plátano. Por lo tanto, es mejor utilizar el compuesto de plátano y epoxi con una fracción de volumen del 40% y una orientación de las fibras de 0 grados para diversas aplicaciones.…

Pour sonder la liaison entre le renfort et la matrice, le microgramme d'électrons à balayage de la surface fracturée du composite banane-époxy a été enregistré. Il est donc préférable d'utiliser le composite banane/époxy avec une fraction volumique de 40 % et une orientation des fibres de 0 degré pour diverses applications. …
