First edition in English of this engineering textbook originally published in Swedish in 1909. Octavo. Two monochrome plates, of which one folding, and numerous monochrome diagrams and illustrations to text. Original dark red pebble-grain cloth, spine lettered in gilt, frames to boards in blind, publisher's device to front board… in blind, black endpapers. Bookseller's ticket on rear pastedown. Cloth slightly rubbed and soiled, front hinge repaired, rear hinge cracked but holding, text block lightly toned, crease to pp. 263-8, split along fold of folding plate, text block cracked in a few places but holding firm. A very good copy.
