Stiff, pictorial wraps; 72pp. The stated objective of the Associated Industries of Oregon of the Portland Chamber of Commerce was "to promote the welfare of the Oregon country by fostering its manufacturing interests, developing its natural resources, promoting the use and purchase of the products of its factories, building up factory pay rolls." This directory was designed to be a convenient consumer guide to Oregon-made goods. Included in the various headings and classifications of manufacturers listed is a reference to brand names. "Products listed in this directory are divided into 13 general classifications, under each of which may be found, in alphabetical order, the classified lists of commodities." The 13 classifications are: Foodstuffs, Wearing Apparel, Drugs, Furniture and Household Goods, Automobile Accessories, Insurance Service, Accountants, Miscellaneous Products, Advertising and Allied Lines, Building Material, Machinery (Iron and Steel Work), Musical Instruments, Public Utilities, and an Alphabetical Roster of Members. This booklet, a fine period reference source to manufacturers in Oregon and their products, was printed by the Arcady Company of Portland, and measures 6 5/8" x 3 5/8". Fine condition. [E13-752].
