The recently opened Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen, at the entrance to the city of Stuttgart, is exceptional in three respects: for its architecture, its construction and its urban design. A 160 metre long exhibition element rests on three concrete cores, which enable the smooth structure to float with apparent ease above the level of the ground floor. Robert Temel, born 1969, studied architecture at the University for Applied Arts in Vienna. He is a self employed researcher, journalist and facilitator in the areas of architecture, cities and culture. Since 2003 he has been Chairman of the Austrian Society for Architecture (ÖGFA).
