Slightest of fading to the spine and to the head of the boards, concealed by the wrapper. Slightest of bumps to the front edge of the rear board. Light foxing to the fore edges. Otherwise clean and tight. Dust wrapper price clipped. A 1 cm tear to the head of the wrapper and several niks to the head of the spine of the wapper. Light rubbing to the edges of the spine of the wrapper and light foxing to the rear of the wrapper. The picture to the wrapper remains clean and bright. A very good copy.

"Dom François Attout est un jeune moine de l'abbaye de Maredsous qui fonda les Lonescouts en 1920, à l'origine pour les scouts catholiques isolés. Son totem, avec lequel il signa de nombreux articles, était Corbeau Solitaire. Il fut l'éditeur de la revue scoute La Piste (des Baden-Powell Belgian Boy-Scouts). C'est lui qui édite aussi à Maredsous, de janvier 1923 à décembre 1925, la revue Le Scout de France selon un format identique que La Piste et avec des articles communs [1]. Aumônier du district de Namur, il participa à de nombreux camps écoles. Il a composé également des chants de veillées (recueil Chantez les scouts), fabriqué des tentes, et rédigé jusqu'en 1938 la « Main dans la Main ». Et un recueil Pour être prêt : Livre de prières destiné aux scouts pour toutes les circonstances de leur vie religieuse au camp. En 1933, il rédigea ses Mémoires du corbeau solitaire aux éditions Maredsous, présentant dix mises en scène de la loi, avec des exemples vécus avec ses anciens Lones." WIKIPÉDIA.
