CD in Jewel Case. Condition: Fine. Argo 410 205-2. These engaging (Italian-style) Concerti, long-attributed to Pergolesi, were in fact composed by a Dutch Count (1692-1766), who humbly insisted that they be published anonymously. They were subsequently included by their publisher in a 'collected edition' of Pergolesi's own music - thus the confusion and mis-attribution. CONTENTS: Please see my accompanying scan of the Track List. Total Time: 63:06. CONDITION: A Fine CD with Fine Minus booklet, the jewelcase and tray insert Fine. Played twice; plays beautifully. Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 23 B&W Illustrations not attributed (illustrator). Revised Edition. Beacon Lights of Literature, Book Eight edited by Rudolph W. Chamberlain (1947 Hardcover without Dust Jacket) This book 8 represents the culmination of grammar school literature text series "Beacon Lights of Literature." This book was prepared without regard to the state in which the subject was to be taught. The subject matter covered was developed to satisfy the program outlined in "An Experience Curriculum in English," the national consensus of educators regarding what and how English literature should be taught in the US schools in the 1940s. Stories are grouped into 13 sections including one section on radio broadcasting and one section on motion pictures. Each section has an additional reading lists, biographic sketches of the authors, Questions & Exercises regarding the reading, and use of footnotes for unfamiliar phrases and words. There are 73 readings with 23 full-page line illustrations. None of the illustrators are named. Only one author was noticed to have written 2 readings. xviii + 749pp + 1pp ad. Under 8" tall 8vo Hardcover has rust-colored cloth boards with black lettering & designs, but no DJ. Spine still attached, although covers worn through cloth. Mass Market Paperback. Condition: Very Good. Second Edition. A VERY GOOD MINUS copy of Midwood 61112. Marty goes wild when his young niece moves in - and she moves in big-time, scheming to kill Marty's wife and run off with him and his money, eventually planning to subtract Marty himself from the equation! 208 pages (9 pages shorter than the First Edition). CONDITION: a solid, uncreased copy, unmarked but for a "remainder" line on the page-block top, with heavily rubbed covers - most likely from being prematurely stacked at the end of the manufacturing process. (Since there is no surface loss on the covers, I don't think it's from storage in a humid environment.) This nevertheless quite respectable copy is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag. NOTE: A higher resolution cover scan will gladly be supplied on request. This small item will be shipped, securely packed, with a complimentary upgrade to trackable First Class on domestic (US) orders.

Mass Market Paperback. Condition: Good (overall). Assumed First Edition. Midwood 60203. Exceedingly scarce. The disturbing tale of a woman stalked and abducted. Though cursed with nymphomania, she kills her tormentor - but eventually finds herself in even more trouble, due to her uncontrollable passions! Told in the frank, uncensored language of the '70s. 205+ pages. CONDITION: Aside from the unfortunate absence of its likely text-only front cover (a way for booksellers to dispose of unsold copies without having to return the entire book to the publishers in order to get a refund), this copy is in NEAR FINE condition: bright, tight, square, unmarked, uncreased, and possibly unread, with minimal shelf-wear. This rescued rarity is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag. NOTE: This small item will be shipped, securely packed, with a complimentary upgrade to trackable First Class on domestic (US) orders.
