Adolphus partit un temps à Rome, comme son frère qui accompagnait le long séjour du prince Henri à Rome. Présent dans les cercles artistiques entre Berlin et Rome, il fit réaliser ce portrait en 1825 par August Grahl. Ce miniaturiste allemand, revient en Italie en 1821 après un premier voyage en 1817. Adolphus went to Rome as his brother The long stay of Prince Henry at Rome. Present in the post-Napoleonic artistic circles between Berlin and Rome, he made this portrait in 1825 by an artist probably supported by the Prussian nobility present in Italy at the beginning of the XIXth century. *.
