En 4ème de couverture le catalogue imprimé en rouge des eaux fortes de Quantin, pour la Collection : Ğ Les Petits conteurs du XVIIIe siècle ğ / publiés par Octave Uzanne. Page du frontispice brunie, marge supérieure de la 2ème page insolée sans marque sur lestampe, très bon état des 4 autres eaux fortes. Sur la couverture muette, écriture ancienne au crayon ĞRetif de la Bğ. Etat convenable pour ce recueil devenu rare.

Mongin aqft. (aquaforte). - Es handelt sich hier wohl um ein Vorzugsexemplar, bei dem sich die Bildunterschrift von der Normalausgabe typografisch unterscheidet (avant la lettre). Die Radierung erschien mit veränderter Typographie in der Zeitschrift "L'Art. Revue hebdomadaire illustrée" (1878?) unter Angabe des Druckers Salmon. Das Motiv wurde auch von anderen Reproduktionsstechern umgesetzt.; MAßE: Das Blatt misst ca. 33,5 x 26 cm, die Darstellung ca. 26 x 21,6 cm.; ZUSTAND: Das Blatt ist altersbedingt schwach gebräunt. Braunfleckig (vornehmlich in den Rändern) sowie im rechten oberen Eck mit kleiner Knickspur. Die Ränder partiell gering angeschmutzt bzw. mit Resten von Druckfarbe. Insgesamt dennoch gut erhalten und der Druck satt und klar konturiert.; VITA: Der französische Maler und Reproduktionsgraveur (geboren 1843 in Paris, gestorben 1911 in Chatillon) stellte erstmalig 1874 im Salon aus.
