Text and the many b&w illustrations including the full page map in the back of the book are all in fine condition. Hinges are tight. Illustrated dj is in a protective mylar cover with multiple small tears, chips and soiling on upper edges and upper spine end. Light soiling and shelf wear to covers, edges, hinges and spine. This is the story of "Mikkinak, The Turtle, an Ot-chip-we Indian who lived and worked as a fur trapper on the Flat River in the opening years of the Nineteenth Century."
