Oltre ai tredici Libri delle Confessioni, in questo primo tomo sono presenti il De Libero Arbitrio, il De Vera Religione, il De Musica, il De Beata Vita, il De Immortalitate Animae, ecc. Folio (cm. 38,5), 10 cc.nn., 888 colonne. Ritratto di Sant Agostino inciso da Francesco Zucchi in antiporta. Frontespizio in rosso e nero con vignetta calcografica.
