The British Library describes it as "perhaps the first school story" and it is important in being one of the earliest fictional works for children, with other 18th century works for the young tending towards the instructional rather than the entertaining. But no other marks or damage to the text at all. It is bound in 20th C. brown cloth, not original. The front hinge is cracked but the binding is still tight and solid. . FM.
