Paperback. Condition: New. First printing (so stated). Ephrata, Pennsylvania: Whatnot Enterprises, LLC, 2018. With letter signed by the author laid in. New in near PERFECT condition with only a tiny bit of very mild shelfwear to the cover (like you sometimes find in any new book store). Flat, uncreased spine. NO chips, tears or fading. Bright and shiny. Sharp corners. Square and tight. NO owner's name or bookplate. NOT a library discard. NOT a remainder. Hinges are perfect. Pages are fresh, crisp, clean and unmarked. Illustrated with a few full color photos. Bound in the original full color pictorial wraps. From the publisher: "What happened in Vietnam . didn't stay in Vietnam. It came home with us! SILENT SPRING - DEADLY AUTUMN OF THEVIETNAM WAR is both a memoir and an investigative journey into all the complications the U.S.government hasn't told you about the Vietnam War. It's not just another bookabout Vietnam or Agent Orange. Rather it'sa 'silver bullet' which cuts through to the heart of the circumstances and pesticides used during that war -- highly toxic herbicides and insecticides, which in some cases are still being used to this very day all over the globe, even right here in the USA. So, forget everything you've heard from our government and everything that you think you know about the Vietnam War because this book is much more than a memoir of one Vietnam veteran's struggles over the decades following the war. It's a story of all the veterans who served in Vietnam and their children. And it could even be the story of you and your children, too. As you read through the book and its volumes of information, you will be absolutely stunned at what the US government had willingly dumped on Vietnam and its own troops.". Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Very Good. This is a handsome 1945 promotional brochure from Clayton Manufacturing for the company's Steam Generator. The illustrated publication gives data and specifications for the generator, including blueprint diagrams and a cutaway illustration showing the inner workings of the generator. There's a lot of information presented in text and three color pictures. As well, there is a type-written business letter from C. R. Leonard of the Clayton Steam Generator Division in Alhambra, CA to Mr. George R. Graziadi of the Oneida County Boiler Works in Utica, NY. The letter is dated December 6, 1945, and signed by Mr. Leonard. Briefly the letter discusses the possibility of contracting with Oneida County Boiler Works becoming a distributor / installer of Clayton Generators. The letter is typed on Clayton Manufacturing Letterhead and fills one side of a 8 1/2 " x 11" sheet. As well as the letter, there is an enclosed price List for Clayton Steam Generators. (Printed, filling one side of an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet - List dated April 2, 1945). Advertising Brochure (In the letter Mr. Leonard calls it a catalog, but it is more of an informational brochure); self-wrapped, stapled publication (2 staples); Size : 8 1/2" x 11" ; 8 pages (pagination includes exteriors) . The front exterior has a picture of a Clayton Steam Generator. The cover is printed in black, blue, red, and pink. The rear exterior has printed the company's name and places of business under a photograph of their Alhambra plant. This is a very nice item, and the inclusion of the business letter is a nice cachet, providing a unique historical marker for this brochure. CONDITION -- VERY GOOD -- A nicely preserved bit of vintage advertising - the exterior has modest surface rub and weathering, as well as a bit of shallow surface creasing (or wrinkling )- corner tips are bumped, and there is some creasing thereon . The interior is clean and the sheets remain solidly attached to the staples. The letter is crisp and very nicely preserved.…

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a thoughtful exploration of Quaker beliefs and practices. Arising from the Christian tradition, this book argues that the Society of Friends developed a unique and deep understanding of the Christian message. The author highlights that the Quakers' commitment to pacifism and plain living was rooted in their belief that God is present in all people and that the true riches of life are not material but spiritual. The author examines the experiences of early Quakers, their struggles for religious freedom, and their efforts to live out their faith in a world often hostile to their beliefs. Ultimately, this book is a reminder that there is more to religion than just going to church or following a prescribed set of rules. True faith requires courage, compassion, and a willingness to stand up for what you believe in. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
