Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. These two volumes are bound in the original gilt pictorial blind stamped brown cloth. Bright gilt letters on the spines & bright gilt "SS" on the front covers. There is very light wear on the spine tips & cover corners, no chips or tears. There is a small blue library stamp on each title page. The front hinge of volume 2 is cracked. Foxing on the 1st 5 pages of each volume with lighter foxing through-out volume 2. Bright blue end papers. Volume 1 has its half title page with adds on page 384 + adds on the following 23 pages. Volume 2 has no 1/2 title-page with 16 pages of adds in the back. The bindings are strong.
