    Full-Leather. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Original brown leather with gilt titles on red spine label. Believed to be First Edition. Scott is said to have written this novel in a mere ten weeks! Leather absent from front cover of Volume I. It is also missing the front free endpaper. Volume I has 336 pages. "Miramichi Subscription Library" in gilt on covers of Volumes II and III, with bookplate inside Volume II. Volume II has some minor doodling on endpapers, and 348 pages. Volume III has bookplate of "Miramichi Lodge, No. 18 - F. and A.M. Library." Volume III has a crease in the front free endpaper and also has minor doodling on endpapers. Page 131 has a horizontal tear the full width of the book, but is still attached. Volume III has 372 pages, including a 15-page glossary. Neatly done homemade paper dustjackets on all. All hinges are firm. Some staining as would be expected on books of this age (not affecting text). This three-volume set will be sent insured, so expect a request for extra postage. Size: 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Book.
