He was an early scholar of Arabic. Item is securely fastened into blank 10.5x6.5 inch white wraps with a printed decorated dust jacket. The front panel of dj has sustained a three-inch scratch, one inch of which has perforated and shows a bit of the blank white cardstock beneath; this scratch reveals itself quicker to fingertips than to the eye. An otherwise entirely sound copy, perfectly clean and unmarked. Quaritch catalog no. 1343.
