Though there is no indication of his ownership name, this copy from the library of Australian Ambassador Lloyd D. Thomson, with his pencil notes to several pages (score results & various names crossed out). Diplomat Lloyd Thomson (1919-2015) was the first Australian Ambassador to the Holy See (Vatican) (1973-74, 1980-83), & resident outside Italy at other Australian diplomatic posts, including the Netherlands (The Hague), Ireland (Dublin), the UN in Switzerland (Geneva), plus Head of Mission with the Department of Foreign Affairs, along with other diplomatic posts. Lloyd Thomson was also involved in the theatre as a playwright, actor & producer, notably co-writing the Australian musical The Sentimental Bloke (to the poetry of C.J. Dennis). Slight handling wear, two middle-page leaves detached (but present) (pages 5-12), otherwise a nice clean softcover copy. 16pp + covers. RARE original programme for the 1956 Olympic Games owned by the former Ambassador of Australia.
