Leder an Rücken und Kanten teils etwas stärker beschabt. dieses seltenen Privatdrucks über eine hochinteressante Reise nach Indien von dem Architekten Wilhelm Böckmann (1832-1902), der an der Berliner Bauakademie studiert hatte und vor allem für seine zahlreichen Villen im Berliner Stadtbezirk Tiergarten bekannt wurde. , vor allem im Diplomatenviertel. Die Fotos zeigen das Volksleben, Landschaften, den Himalaja, aber vor allem auch zahlreiche Architekturen und Stadtansichten, die den Baumeister Böckmann nachhaltig beeindruckten und sein Werk nicht unwesentlich beeinflussten, was bisher noch nicht genügend erforscht wurde. Gezeigt werden die Tempel und Paläste von Kandy, Madura (3), Trichinopoly (Heiliger Fels), Madras (2), Kalkutta, Benares (2; Verbrennungsplatz am Ganges, Jain-Tempel), Lucknow (Mausoläum), Agra (Taj Mahal), Dehli (2; u. a. Jumma Moschee), Amber (Königsschloss), Elephanta (Säulentempel) und vieles mehr.
