Previous owner's inscriptions to front free endpaper. Binding remains firm. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends. Clipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Light tanning to spine and edges. Marking to front panel.

First edition of this uncommon title about the husband and wife duo who farmed the land in the Atacama Desert. Light soiling to crown of spine, previous owner's name and date to fep, else a clean copy in a VG or better example of the jacket with chipping (w loss) to upper spine joints; chips to jacket edges and to corners, but with price of 20s intact and a nicer copy than usually encountered.
