Il ajoute : «Je vous prie, Monsieur, de ne viser aucun certificat de noblesse que vous ne vous soyez assuré que les parents du jeune homme pour qui il sera, sont en état et en volonté de luy donner 300# par an, et de vouloir bien en faire mention sur chaque certificat». Pour prévenir de semblables accidents, le ministre de la Guerre donne donc des instructions pour que les greniers des casernes ne soient utilisés que pour le stockage des blés nécessaires, et qu'on n'y entrepose plus aucun foin, ni bois, ni autres choses combustibles.
