The previous owner's name and date are written on the fep, but that is the only marking. The book is very good. The dust jacket has several small tears at the bottom of the front cover which have caused a crease to be formed between them. It is fair plus. Language: eng.

An inscription below in blue ink: 'Sent with much love from Aunt Mammi/Nanni (?). This is the last story written by the greatest Canadian authoress of girls' stories. She was a cripple from birth and she signed this book especially for you, Ruth, just a few weeks before she died. She is called 'the bravest of all Canadian girls'.' Blue cover with black script and illustration. 5 x 8 inches approximately. Minor scuffed edges and browning paper due to age otherwise in good condition.
