First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Hurd, Peter did 10 col illus (illustrator). 1st thus. VG book, no DJ. Black cloth. Gilt spine lettering. Cover extrems very worn & spine ends very frayed. No stated edition but this a 1st as later printings were so stated. This has the 1930 cp date, no additional printings noted and has the logo. It does not have the "A". BUT: Scribner's only started this convention in 1930, or very shortly thereafter. BEFORE 1930 they never used the "A". VG book, no DJ. 1st ed. FINE internally & front cover pict label.
