No stated date but probably c1935. 14pp. Oliver Ridsdale Baldwin, 2nd Earl Baldwin of Bewdley (1899-1958), known as Viscount Corvedale from 1937 to 1947, was a British socialist politician who had a career at political odds with his father, the Conservative prime minister Stanley Baldwin. This booklet contains an open letter he wrote to the King of Italy and Benito Mussolini concerning the projected invasion of Abyssinia by Italian troops. The booklet is staple bound in brown card covers with black titling on the spine. The covers have shelf wear with some soiling and there is noticeable staining on the front cover. The contents are secure and clean although the staples are rusted with some surrounding staining. A previous owner has written some pencil notes on the title page.
