Not a book but a group of five, 7-inch, 45 rpm classic vinyl rock 'n roll "single" records from the late '50s, combined to consolidate shipping. These vinyl records will play well; they grade "very good" with small, scattered scuffs and scratches. The labels show some rub from being stored together (before they reached us) without individual protective sleeves. NONE of these vinyl 45s are shiny new, NONE of them grade "near mint." But at a very reasonable price you get the ORIGINAL RELEASES of Clyde McPhatter's "A Lover's Question" / "I Can't Stand Up Alone" (Atlantic, 1958, no spinner to label), Chuck Willis' "You'll Be My Love" / "Keep A-Driving" (Atlantic 1958, no spinner to label), Hank Ballard and the Midnighters' "Finger Poppin' Time" / "I Love You, I Love You So-O-O" (on the dark blue King label, 1960), Jerry Butler's "He Will Break Your Heart" / "Thanks to You" (Butler-Mayfield-Carter, on the Vee Jay rainbow label, 1960), and Gene McDaniels' "A Hundred Pounds of Clay" (on the Liberty rainbow label, 1961.) Damp stain to the fore edges of the pages that penetrates for a few then fades to the edges and diminishes, fading out by page 80. Book store stamp inside the front cover.Light browning to the pages. He wrote dozens of crime and mystery novels, thousands of magazine stories and over fifty television scripts, His novel, GOLD IN CALIFORNIA!, won the 1965 Spur Award for Best Western Historical Novel. 1981 signature of a resident of Wall, South Dakota on the front free endpaper. Light purple remainder spray on the bottom edge of the text block. A nearly fine copy in nearly fine dust jacket with rubbing at spine ends and along front flap fold. (#158993).

Page edges browned with one small stain to the top edges. Browning to the endpapers with a little spotting to the front pastedown and the pages are browned but otherwise unmarked. No jacket. First printing.
