First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Metaphysical narrative work by Joyce Borden Balokovic, heiress to the Borden Dairy fortune, wife of renowned violinist Zlatko Balokovic, sister of author Mary Borden, and herself author of a work of which this is a sort of sequel, called Towards the Center, which was published by the Philosophical Library 10 years prior. This title is seemingly less common, even. Altogether an attractive example. Hardcover in dustjacket, a lovely blue and yellow illustration somewhat typical of this era of metaphyisical literature. Dust jacket has some very shallow chips near to all corners, as well as some light creasing and small closed tears, but is now even more presentable in brand new mylar. Dustjacket is price clipped on the inner flap. There is a small sticker from Samuel Weiser affixed to the front pastedown. Interior is bright, clean, free of marks of any kind. The binding is sturdy, solid, strong. Blue boards are clean and firm, with a teeny abrasion to one part of the front board which nevertheless does not effect the integrity of the book at all. Overall a lovely copy of this uncommon and curious title.
