Miss LeBost displays a feminine sensibility neither fragile nor chauvenistic and, at moments, an intellect which touches on the universal.' (Quote taken from the front flap of the dustwrapper) ***'Barbara LeBost was born Barbara Ann Kanterman, one of identical twins, in Lima, Ohio, on April 9th, 1934. She was educated at the University of Michigan where she received her B.A. and Master degrees in English Literature. She later taught at Teacher's College, Columbia University, New York City. Miss LeBost was lecturing at Queens College, New York, and working on her doctorate as well, when, as a result of an automobile accident she died October 24th, 196. She had been married and divorced. This book of collected poems, her first poetry, is especially remarkable in that all the poems were written during the brief period between the winter and late spring of 1966.' - M.M., London, 1968 (Quote taken from the Biographical Note) ***A first impression of the first UK edition, in its original dustwrapper in near fine condition. A very uncommon book, and although not marked as such, from the library of leading feminist writer Germaine Greer. ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc.
