Cet ouvrage comporte 4 chapitres : Biographie de Jean Jaume ; Les oeuvres de Jean Jaume ; Le Traité de la Peste de Jean Jaume, composé en 1376 : texte latin d'après le manuscrit de Dantzig ; Le Traité de la Peste de Jean Jaume : Traduction française. Jean Jacme, également appelé Jean Jaume ou Johannes Jacobi (mort peu après 1384) fut chancelier de l'Université de Montpellier, médecin du duc d'Anjou puis médecin des papes à Avignon.
