Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. First edition. Octavo. 220pp. Illustrated from photographs. Faint wear on the boards, else very near fine in near fine dust jacket with small tears on the rear flap fold, probably caused by an excess of glue used by the binder. Self-published sociological and philosophical discussion about the distinctions between various degrees of Black and Colored people. The pseudonymous author takes his name from Hamilcar Barca, an African general and statesman from Carthage. Despite this, it isn't clear at first look what his racial identity is. Scarce in the trade.
