Juli 1915 in Berlin) war ein deutscher Pädagoge und ein klassischer Philologe. Karl (Carl) Bardt wuchs auf dem Rittergut seines Vaters in Lubosch, Kreis Birnbaum in der Provinz Posen auf. Mit elf Jahren kam er nach Breslau, wo er seine humanistische Ausbildung auf dem Maria-Magdalenen-Gymnasium erhielt. Nach dem Abitur im Jahre 1862 (zusammen mit Carl Weigert) begann er sein Studium an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin unter Theodor Mommsen, Moriz Haupt und Johann Gustav Droysen. Seine Dissertationsarbeit Quaestiones Tullianae im Jahre 1866 widmete er Mommsen. Ab 1867 war er nach bestandener Oberlehrerprüfung zunächst in Berlin tätig und dann als Gymnasialdirektor in Neuwied. 1881 ging Bardt in gleicher Position nach Elberfeld und 1887 wurde er als Direktor des Joachimsthalschen Gymnasiums nach Berlin berufen. 22 Jahre führte er diese Traditionsschule. Carl Bardt war als klassischer Philologe auch wissenschaftlich tätig; aber nur einen Teil seiner Arbeiten konnte er veröffentlichen.
