Condition: molto buono. in-4, ff.8, elegante cartone blu scuro ottocentesco, con autore e titolo impresso in grandi capitali in oro. Al frontespizio grande stemma con i tre gigli di Francia, carattere corsivo, di formato maggiore per la Canzone sopra la morte del re Arrigo II, che figura agli ultimi due ff. Enrico II di Valois,…secondogenito di Francesco I, divenne re di Francia dal 1547, dopo aver sposato nel 1533 Caterina de' Medici. Fu influenzato fino alla morte dall'amante Diana di Poitiers, con cui condivise anche la passione per la bibliofilia. Riprese la lotta contro Carlo V, nel 1552 s'impegnò contro gli Spagnoli in Piemonte, aiutando poi i Senesi ribelli, finanziando Piero Strozzi e i fuoriusciti fiorentini; dopo la sconfitta di San Quintino (1557) fu costretto alla pace di Cateau-Cambrésis (1559). Poco dopo fu ferito mortalmente in una giostra. L'opuscolo faceva parte di una raccolta di placchette, riportando in alto una numerazione mss. da 212 a 219 e l'annotazione Vedi voi la Oracion di diversi racolte dal sançuino, parte p.ma fol.72 dove legervi la presente orazioni. Rarissimo. Buon esemplare a grandi margini (frontespizio con piccole mancanze e restauri, come per il foglio finale, perdita di testa di una parola al f. 8 e 5). Book.
