Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. A collection of over 40 short pieces about Gilbert Harding. The boards have light edge wear and corner bumping. Page edges browned. There is some staining and creasing to the bottom inside corners of the first 30 or so pages with a little brown spotting to pages 32 to 39. The pages are slightly browned but otherwise unmarked. The jacket has quite a bit of surface staining to the front and rear panels and to the spine. There is rubbing and a little chipping at the top and bottom of the spine and rubbing to the corners and there are a few small edge nicks. First printing.

A complete collection of the 8 Christmas cards designed and lithographed by Barnett Freedman for the Directors and Members of the Leighton-Straker Bookbinding Company Ltd., between 1951 and 1958, the last one being a reproduction of the first, produced in tribute to Freedman who died in January 1958. Six cards are printed on a sheet of thick paper 33 x 43 cm folded into 4 forming a card measuring approximately 16 x 21 cm. The card for 1953 is made from a sheet measuring 36 x 36 and folded into 6 forming a card measuring the same dimensions as the others. The card for 1952 differs in that it is formed from a piece of card measuring 33.5 x 13.8 gate folded to measure 16.6 x 13.8. The illustrations are mainly hidden within the card.
