Faded green boards, the spine lettered in gilt; the boards, with embossed patterns and lines, show little wear. Knealing lady in gilt front center. Internally yellow endpapers in good order, the front one with period gift inscription. Foxing to the prelims including frontis (Steigler singing) and illustrated title (Schmidgall's dream). Contents start with 'The Young Crusader'. All clean and clear. 8 illustrations + title page. Pp 270 + 2 ads. Size: 24mo - over 5" - 5¾" tall.

Small 8vo. Original blue boards, gilt to spine and boards with decoration tooled in blind. All edges gilt. Three maps all hand coloured. Boards rubbed and scuffed. Extremities bumped and rubbed with chipping to tail of spine. Fold-out map torn but without loss. Small previous owner stamp to front free end page. Pages browned with age with the occasional grubby mark but o/w contents sound. Good only.
