At the time of this document she was a 40-gunner, and the flagship of the Commander-in-Chief of the South American station Vice-Admiral Sir Graham Hamond (1779-1862). Docketed on reverse: 'Dublin / Treasure conveyed. / 31. March 1838. / E1/1 / Entd 2d. April. / W Let'. Headed: 'A Return of Treasure conveyed in Her Majesty's Ship Dublin, Robert Tait, Esquire, Captain, between the 1st. day of January, and the 31st. day of March 1838, to answer the provisions of the Freight Proclamations.' The entry is arranged in a table, with columns for: Ship's Name, Captain's Name; Received [three columns: When; From Whom; At what place], Consigned [two columns: To whom; To what place]; Species of Treasure, or other Articles on which Freight is payable; Total amount received on board, noting whether, certain or estimated; Rate per Cent; Where landed, or to what vessel transhipped.
