Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Additional cover title: "Beginning Thanksgiving Day Nov. 28,29,30 and December 1." Stapled booklet shaped and decorated as a WWI infantry hat--brown with black letters on the front and back covers. Just a few minor dings around the edges, a fold mark diagonally across the upper quarter of the booklet affecting the front cover and the first 12 pages, barely noticeable fingernail sized abrasion on lower left of front wrapper, transfer mark on pp. 12 & 13, just touches of rust on the staples, else very good to near fine with no internal markings-in amazingly good condition given its age and fragility. Ten pages describe the various programs during this fund-raising campaign, complete with the names of the participants in the programs. Profusely illustrated with period ads from local businesses sponsoring this series of programs. The rear wrapper has the following information: "The New Jewish Welfarers' Hut corner of 'N' Avenue and 'G' Street, Camp Pike will open its doors on Sunday, December 1. A Special Dedication Program Has Been Arranged. All are very welcome. H.J. Rosenbaum General Secretary." "Ladies and Gentlemen: This is not an amateur performance. This is not a professional performance. It is an Army Benefit Performance, for a Soldiers' Entertainment Fund, done in the spirit of the President, to create and provide all essentially required means of entertainment among the soldiers; and, therefore, the men and women, who are taking part in this entertainment, are also thereby doing their bit, and in like mood and spirit, we beg leave to usher the Spectators into the evening's program. The Dramatic Director." Date determined from contents. An exceedingly rare piece of WWI and Camp Pike ephemera!
