Original half morocco (lettered and decorated in gilt) and dark green stippled cloth; leather a little rubbed at the extremities, with minor wear to the corner tips; cloth flecked and marked, with some loss to silverfish along the edges of the boards; edges (lightly speckled red) a little foxed and thumbed, with minimal pencilling to the top and bottom edges; rear hinge expertly stabilised; occasional signs of age and use (including slight adhesion blemishes to 15 pages, short sealed marginal tears to 10 leaves, with short clear tape repairs to two others, light marks to about 20 pages, minimal light pencilling to four pages); overall, a very good copy. A rare and important work of perennial interest and value, with extensive details of approximately 230 North West pioneers and early settlers and their families, and about 100 pastoral properties. Provenance: 'Mr John Heydon | Cue 1922' is written in pencil on the front free endpaper.
