Softcover. Condition: vg. First edition. Folio (12 1/4 x 9 1/4"). XIVpp (Text), 32 leaves (Plates). Original decorative yellow wrappers. An exhaustive architectural survey of 18th and 19th century Wurtemberg castles in Rococo and Classicism style. This work is lavishly illustrated with 37 photogravures (including 27 full-page) documenting the following castles: Ludwigsburg (13), Favorite (1), Neues Schloss (3), Monrepos (7), Solitude (4), Königlicher Marstall (1), Scharnhausen (2), Hohenheim (1), Grabkapelle (1), and Rosenstein (4). The text pages contain a floor plan for each castle. Minor shelf wear. Previous owner's stamp on front free endpaper (Architect Willi Steinhoff, Berlin). Foxing to front free endpaper. Text in German. Wrappers and interior in overall very good condition.
