Hardcover. Condition: Fair - Good. early. 4to, ca. 7" x 10.25", pp. 113, bound in original green cloth covered boards with maroon decoration in art- nouveau style on covers and back strip, moderately heavy wear to covers. Contents vary widely in condition. There are 605 samples of dyed thread and fabrics on the many pages. The first ca. 20 pages are generally good or better with lots of color dyed samples of fabric - 216 samples, pages 24- 65 have some dark stains at top and bottom of pages that are distracting from the many colorful fabric samples, pages from ca. 64 through 113 are more like the front group- with stains, but not so many. Many pages are warped. It is possible it was in fire and the pages war and dark areas are from smoke, but this is unclear. Overall, a not quite good copy due to the warped and stained pages. Text in English. Note it is stated that this is Vol. II (only) of an unknown number of volumes. Overall fair to good copy with soiling of some contents plus age toning. Note, Due to size and weight, shipping outside the USA may cost more than an average book.
