He says he has a tennis match and that they have had snow (he imagines the court will be dry enough for playing) and has seen the film of Captain Horatio Blowhorner [sic]'. The second letter is incomplete undated and with no recipient (obviously his parents) consisting of about 670 words plus a few handwritten postscripts in which he sings the praises of Mrs Lockwood, the Rocky Mountain Champion Woman athlete, an outstanding tennis player who was on the U.S.A.A.U. He goes on to say he has taken up mountaineering and rock climbing and lists his expenses. He ends with 'Who is this "Mother" that's sending me letters? I only know "Ma" and "Mom."'
