From the essay by Jérome Sans: "Like Russian dolls, (Peter Beard's) photographs often set his own work in perspective, progressively opening from 'portals.' Like a hypertext. His work can be seen as so many pages of a diary that he writes on his daily life, but which cannot be read sequentially in time. They are scenarios of instants and instincts that can subsequently be arranged in any order, like vocabulary components developing new meanings according to their confrontation.".
