A bit of shelf wear, first blank endpaper a bit browned else very good. "Descriptive sketches of all recognized exhibition varieties with many original anecdotes". Includes chapters on 16 species of rabbits, with descriptions of the Belgian Hare, the Japanese Rabbit, Himalayan, Dutch, and Angora to name a few. Chapters on cats include long haired varieties, including Chinchilla, Tabby, and Tortoiseshell, and short haired varieties including the Manx, Abyssinian, Siamese, Mexican Hairless, and the Wild cat. Cavies include Peruvian, Abyssinian, Bolivian, Tortoiseshell, and the Dutch Marked variety, many more. A rare title and still a collectable work.
