Im Jahr 1920 gründete Giuseppe Becce die Zeitschrift Film-Ton-Kunst, die ab 1927 offizielles Organ der Gesellschaft der Filmmusik-Autoren Deutschlands e. V." wurde und 1928 in der Zeitschrift R.D.K. aufging. 1927 veröffentlichte er mit Hans…Erdmann und Ludwig Brav das Allgemeine Handbuch der Filmmusik, das 3000 musikalische Ausschnitte für Stummfilmpianisten enthielt.Mit dem Beginn des Tonfilms betreute Becce zahlreiche Opern-, Operetten- und Musikfilme und arbeitete unter anderem mit Leni Riefenstahl und Luis Trenker. Ab den 1930er Jahren komponierte er sowohl eigene Werke als auch Mischungen mit Musik anderer Komponisten.1941 kehrte Becce nach Italien zurück, setzte jedoch nach dem Krieg seine Arbeit in Deutschland fort. In den 1950er Jahren komponierte er vor allem für Heimat- und Märchenfilme wie Hänsel und Gretel und Rotkäppchen.
