"1848 begann er sich politisch zu betätigen, redigierte das Blatt 'Der Radikale' und gehörte zu den führenden Köpfen der Wiener Revolution; nach der Erstürmung Wiens wurde er verhaftet und standrechtlich erschossen" (ÖBL I, 60).
