Neue Folge, Band 56. 1897. 5 3/4 in. x 8 3/4 in., pp. [71]-93; light gray-green, printed paper covers with publisher's ads; shows a central crease, notations in blue pencil. Loosely inserted is an Autograph Letter Signed, in German, addressed to American Scientist & Educator, Howard H. Higbee, on a folded sheet of Regina-Elfenbein watermarked paper, regarding printed & possibly hand-copied materials on organic chemistry. Dated 5 Sept. 1898 Prof. Chemistry Howard Higbee, Ph. D. Clinton, New York. The letter mentions materials by von Schonmark & Bamberger & Blaskopf (see below) and mentions the offprint. Signed: E. Beckmann Adresse: Leipzig, Bruderstrasse 34. [2] a handwritten, signed postcard to Howard Higbee, Prof. Chemistry, Hamilton College, Clinton, New York, in German, dated August 24, 1898, mentioning Beckmann & Blaskopf; Wengen, Ct. Bern, Switzerland, signed: E. Bamberger. [3] 8 folded sheets written in English (by Higbee) entitled 'Experiments on Benzoyl-phenyl-hyroxyl-amine' with a handwritten draft of a cover letter regarding the experiments, addressed to Dr. Steglitz.
