Black imitation leather over spine with white lettering. Foot of the spine is bumped; rear hinge is just beginning to split at foot of spine. About a one inch tear to imitation leather alon…g foot of spine on rear cover. Some rubbing to back cover. Though the list of flaws seems long, they are not hugely noticeable, and covers overall appear clean and tight. Binding is strong. A bit of spotting along upper edge of half-title page. Pages otherwise are clean and bright. Title and copyright page dated 1988. 13 pages of tables and charts, plus 95 pages of black-and-white plates of galaxies.
