Paper. Condition: Fine. First Edition. Unique postal cover celebrating President Reagan's January 25, 1984 announcement of the permanent manned Space Station program. The postal cover is boldly SIGNED by NASA Administrator Beggs, Deputy Administratot Mark, Associate Administrator for Space Flight Abrahamson, and Space Station Task Force Director Hodge. It is postmarked January 24, 1984 at the Smithsonian Station Post Office. This is a unique cover, without a cartouche and with the signatures written above the typed (not printed) name and office of each. Laid in is an original green NASA routing slip requesting the signatures. Provenance: from the collection of Lee Saegesser, Chief Archivist from 1967 until 1997 in the Washington, DC NASA Headquarters History Office. Certificate of Authenticity available if desired. The autographs are bright and unfaded; the postal cover is clean and bright. Size: 3 5/8" by 6 1/2". SIGNED. Manuscript.
