First Edition
First Edition. A compilation of articles by Church of the Creator founder Ben Klassen published in the first 14 issues of the group's newspaper, Racial Loyalty (June, 1983-July, 1984). The book includes a foreword by Klassen and a chronology of events from 1980-85. This book followed the three key Creativity works: Nature's Eternal Religion (1973), The White Man's Bible (1981), and Salubrious Living (1982). Perfect-bound covers, 255 p. World Church of the Creator stamp to the ffep, otherwise a fine copy.
Racial Loyalty, which was "dedicated to the survival, expansion and advancement of the white race," was the organ of Ben Klassen's Church of the Creator and his racial religion, Creativity. Founded in 1973, in 1982 Klassen moved his organization from Lighthouse Point, Florida to the small town of Otto, NC, and the first issue of Racial Loyalty was published the following year. Each issue focused on outlining Creativity's tenets and its importance as an anti-Christian, white racialist religion capable of returning the white race to greatness and superiority. Other content includes guest articles on various concerns of the racist right, selections from Klassen's many books, including Nature's Eternal Religion, The White Man's Bible, Salubrious Living, etc., letters from readers and other far right activists, racialist cartoons by Ron Quinn, etc. Will Williams, who would later become involved with the National Alliance, began editing the paper starting with issue 49. Although approximately 87 issues were published over the next decade, the newspaper did not survive Klassen's suicide in 1993, although the organization did and continues to exist today. We're offering approximately half of all published issues including a near complete run of the scarce first 40 issues: nos. 1-3, 5-6, 8, 10-35, 37-40, 42, 49, 54-55, 57-58, & 71. Tabloid format printed in black on newsprint, pagination 12-16 p., illustrated. Wilcox Collection stamp to the cover of most issues with 'dup' penciled to the corner. Issue 33 has a 6" x 7" order form cut out from pgs. 9/10 Just over a dozen institutions holding any issue in OCLC.
