Der Autor Nikolai Bendix Lange, Diakon der Kieler Nikolai-K…irche, nutzte für seine Arbeit das 1790 erschienene Werk "Breve til en udenlandsk Ven om Danmark af Raadmand E. Dreyer", das er übersetzte, korrigierte und erweiterte. Ihm selbst war es nicht vergönnt, dieses Werk zu vollenden, da er im Dezember 1791 mitten in der Arbeit verstarb. Der Kieler Historiker und Bibliothekar Wilhelm Ernst Christiani (1731 - 1793) führte das Werk schließlich auf Bitten des Verlegers Hammerich zu Ende. Sehr gutes, nahezu tadelloses Exemplar; Seiten frisch und fleckenfrei. Augenscheinlich ungelesen.
