Hardcover. Condition: Good. Pp. 272, adverts.With music and vocals. Red cover with titel in blue on gilt centrepiece and ornate design. Royal edition. Lightly bumped & rubbed on corners.Blue title partly faded. Previous owner inscription on f.e.p. dated 1900. On lower margin of last page the numbers (10-96-3.) would seem to suggest publication on October 3rd, 1896. The Lily of Killarney is an opera in three acts by Julius Benedict. The libretto, by John Oxenford and Dion Boucicault, is based on Boucicault's own play The Colleen Bawn. The opera received its premiere at Covent Garden Theatre, London on Monday 10 February 1862. Quite scarce.
