Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Limited Edition. Folio. Limited edition, this is #301 of 500. Forty illustrations all with titled tissue-guards. Title page translation from French: "Forty reproductions of the master's masterpieces, brought together on the occasion of the commemorative exhibition organized in Paris, at the palace of the National School of Fine Arts. Under the patronage of the Minister of Public Education, Religious Affairs and Fine Arts and the Under-Secretary of State for Fine Arts. May-June 1905 Biographical and critical introduction by Mr. Leonce Benedite, curator of the national museum of Luxembourg." Limited edition page translation: "It was taken from this work: 500 numbered copies. Nos. 1 to 25 on paper from the Imperial Japanese Manufactures, Nos. 26 to 500, text on Dutch paper, and plates on Chinese paper. This is copy no. 301." Tan paper covered boards with darker tan cloth on spine and corners. Black lettering and graphics on the front board panel, gilt-stamped lettering on spine. Board panels are scuffed and soiled overall. The tan paper-over-cloth is chipped in several places on front and back panels. Staples on the lower and side edges of front and back panels, and remnants of ribbon, indicate there were once ribbon ties. The gilt-stamped title on the spine is significantly scratched. Fore-edge corners are turned and rubbed through. Internally clean and with sound text block.
