Erste Ausgabe.- Benedict Widmann (1820-1910) war Pädagoge und Komponist. Er kam 1843 nach Frankfurt, um dort seine musikalische Ausbildung bei Bernhard Schädel und Franz Xaver Schnyder von Wartensee…zu erhalten. Primär war er als Lehrer an den katholischen Schulen tätig: spätestens seit 1849 an der Englische Fräulein-Schule sowie anschließend als Oberlehrer und Direktor an der Mädchen-Volks-Schule der Rosenberger Einigung. Widmann engagierte sich außerdem in diversen Vereinen: er war langjähriger Leiter des karitativen Vinzenzvereins, Mitbegründer des Wagnervereins, Ehrenmitglied des Lehrergesangvereins und des Rühlschen Gesangvereins.- Papier gebräunt. Titel verso mit hs. Anmerkungen in Bleistift.
