Ireland is a renowned, exhibited sculptor, conceptional artist, painter and illustrator. Bennet's novel was first published in serial form by Street and Smith for All Around Magazine from 1916-17. This is the first time it was published in book form. A science fiction adventure novel involving a lost race and a WWI soldier who found it while wandering in the desert. Fine in dark blue linen with gilt embossed titles to the spine; in a nearly fine dust jacket with a closed tear to the upper front panel, a small "v" chip to the upper right corner, and white production streaks to the spine; original $7.50 printed price still intact to the front inner flap.
